CA 6418 Earth loop resistance measurement is used, among other things, to quickly and reliably find a earth electrode ground resistance. The only requirement for using it is that you have parallel earth electrodes, for example on ordinary electrical installations at transformer stations, lightning wire systems or electric masts. CA6418 is designed with very special jaws with elongated opening, which easily grips rails up to 30x40mm or whole 20x55mm and cables up to ø32mm.
The CA 6418 earth resistance rod has a standard HOLD function, but also has a PRE-HOLD function which is faster and more convenient. When the jaws are opened, the value from the measurement will automatically be retained in the display.
In addition to the rapid measurement result, the earth electrode resistance of the earth electrode is controlled in normal operation. Dangerous situations are avoided since the earth connection is not broken, ie. that the installation does not have to be interrupted when a earth electrode loop resistance check is to be performed.
CA 6418 pliers ohmmeter indicates if the pliers are not properly closed or if there are creep currents that interfere with the measurement result. Variable test frequency helps correct measurement even at external noise.
CA 6418 is also a leakage tester that measures from 0.5mA to 20.00A. Alarms can be freely configured and 300 measurements can be saved. CA 6418 complies with IEC 61010 CAT IV 100V and comes complete in case with battery and manual.
