PET is widely used in a broad range of industries. The material is divided into 4 major segments: Amorphous PET - used for thin foils or sheets in displays or shielding screens for industrial machines and water bottles etc. And semi-crystaline PET, used for more industrial purposes like bearings, rollers or shafts amongst others. The material excels high stiffness , a hard surface, good impact strength and good working capabilites. The material is suited for use between -40 - +100 ˚C, but has a low resistance to diluents, acids and bases. Hydrolytic degeneration of the material may be experienced in aquatic conditions above + 55 ˚C. This PET-P grade is approved under the FDA legislation and according to EU ligislation for direct contact with foods.
