2023 Tebaldo Rosso, Puglia, Italy

Tebaldo Rosso is a delightful red wine from Puglia, made from 80% Negroamaro and 20% Primitivo. These two grape varieties thrive in Puglia’s warm and sunny climate, where they truly show their best qualities. That is why Negroamaro and Primitivo are also used in the region’s DOC wines, such as Salice Salentino. The combination of the two grapes—with Negroamaro’s fresh acidity and Primitivo’s slightly “sweet,” blackcurrant-like character—results in a friendly and approachable red wine with a beautiful deep red color and a charming bouquet of cherries and port wine. On the palate, the wine is well-rounded, both full-bodied and smooth, with notes of blackberry, cherry, and chocolate. Tebaldo Rosso is a very versatile wine that pairs especially well with Italian cuisine but can also be enjoyed on its own.
