This EcoStruxure EV charging Expert is an EV charger controller providing a dynamic load management for EVlink Pro AC and EVlink Pro DC charging stations. It is recommended for commercial and industrial buildings as well as for fleets depot to optimize the impact of consumption of EV charging infrastructure on an electrical installation. The capacity is to control up to 250 EV charging stations, combined in up to 20 electrical zones with 4 zone levels. There is also a possibility to use different functionalities for an efficient EV charging infrastructure operation. Time-of-use electricity tariff can be scheduling to limit EV charging when electricity price is high, and to maximize it when it is low. VIP user badges and charging stations will undergo load-shedding, only in emergency when absolutely necessary to maintain service continuity, as they have priority over other users to charge their electric vehicles. Registering and download of EV charging transactions for analytics, cost allocation or invoicing is possible. There are API for integration capabilities to Building Energy Management System (BEMS). There is priorization of PV produced energy for EV charging. The commissioning, operation of EV chargers and maintenance of the device is done via embedded web server through Ethernet connection via RJ45 port and HTTPS protocol. It can be installed in indoor enclosure mounted on a DIN rail. It’s supplied via external 24Vdc power supply. The operating temperature is between -20°C and 70°C. The storage temperature is between -40°C and 80°C. The dimensions are (W) 98mm x (H) 140mm x (D) 48mm. The LAN connection network with the EVlink chargers is established through Ethernet connection via RJ45 port and External 8 port switch. It uses OCPP 1.6 Json protocol for communication with EVlink chargers. An external Building Power meter can be also connected in the LAN network. For communication with Charging Point Operator’s (CPOs), Charging Station Management System (CSMS) uses OCPP 1.6 Json protocol via external 4G modem. The EV charger controller has the CE, UK and RMC certification.
