Trap and attractant specially developed for capturing silverfish and long-tailed silverfish.
Effective for more than 8 months.
100% pesticide-free.
How to use SkægkræFri
The trap is easy to prepare. Follow these steps:
Attach the collection cup to the underside of the trap.
Shake the attractant thoroughly.
Cut the top off one attractant vial and pour the contents into the collection cup.
Click the plastic lid into place on top of the trap. The trap is now ready for use.
Long-tailed silverfish are attracted into the trap by the highly effective attractant and fall into the collection cup, from which they cannot escape. Long-tailed silverfish prefer to move along walls and thrive in dark, warm areas. Place the traps against a wall or in a corner. Check the traps regularly and move them around until you identify the locations where catches are highest. These locations may change with the seasons due to variations in light and temperature.
In some cases, it may take one or two weeks before trapping begins, so patience is recommended.
When the trap is full of insects (100+ adult long-tailed silverfish), replace the collection cup and refill with fresh attractant. The lid prevents dust from entering the trap, and there are no visible dead insects. Monitor the trap regularly. If the attractant dries out unexpectedly, for example due to dust, pet hair, or similar contaminants, replace the attractant. We recommend replacing the attractant approximately every 4 months.
