FLIR Si2-Pro combines Si2-LD and Si2-PD, and can therefore be used both to locate leaks in compressed air systems and to locate, analyze, and classify discharges in electrical high-voltage systems.
LD function for locating leaks in compressed air systems:
A leak in a pressurized system emits ultrasound that is not audible to the human ear. FLIR Si2-Pro is built with 124 ultra-sensitive microphones, positioned so it is possible to determine the direction of the leak as well as the size of the leak when the area is scanned. This method is typically 10 times faster than traditional scans performed with ultrasonic equipment and the “sniffer method.” The instrument operates from a distance of 0.3 to 200 meters, very quickly finds any leaks of gas, air, or steam in pressurized systems, and indicates the calculated leak rate in liters/min.
FLIR Si2-Pro builds an acoustic image using the 124 microphones; the acoustic image is transposed in real time onto a digital camera image, allowing the user to accurately locate the sound source and thus the leak. The images are stored in internal memory as documentation and for later repair/troubleshooting of any leaks. In a typical industrial environment, the instrument can detect leaks from 0.0032 l/min. The problem of a noisy industrial environment and the use of closed headphones, as known from traditional ultrasonic equipment, does not exist with the Si2-Pro, because you use the LCD screen to visualize the leaks instead of listening for them.
PD function for locating discharges in electrical high-voltage systems:
Used to locate, analyze, and classify discharges in electrical high-voltage systems. In addition to locating any arcing/flashovers between components, FLIR Si2-Pro can also perform a “listening test” before a high-voltage cabinet is opened, to avoid dangerous surprises when the cabinet is opened.
Equipped with the FLIR Acoustic Camera Viewer cloud service, this smart tool automatically stores images in the cloud when they are captured. The user can then use FLIR Advanced Severity Assessment Analysis to classify the severity of the problem and provide guidance on recommended actions to resolve it. Through a regular preventive maintenance routine, FLIR Si2-Pro can help save money on repairs because problems can be detected before a total breakdown becomes a reality.
124 high-sensitivity microphones built in
AutoFilter selects the correct settings depending on the surrounding environment
AutoDistance: automatically detects the distance between the leak and the camera
Memory: 128GB SD card
Reporting and analysis via free FLIR Cloud solution
Built-in Wi-Fi for wireless transfer of files to PC/Cloud
When FLIR Si2 is set to “Mechanical Fault Mode,” the appropriate filters and settings are selected in the instrument, allowing you to search for worn/noisy bearings in pumps or similar equipment. In this way, you can identify and repair mechanical problems before they result in equipment failure and machine downtime due to a defective bearing.
Equipped with the cloud service “FLIR Acoustic Camera Viewer,” FLIR Si2 can automatically save images to the cloud. The user can then choose to analyze the problem directly in the instrument or analyze them with “FLIR Advanced Severity Assessment Analysis” in the cloud to classify the severity of the problem and provide guidance on recommended actions.
FLIR Si2-Pro is delivered complete and ready for use in a case with 2 rechargeable batteries, battery charger, camera strap, USB drive, software user license for FLIR Thermal Studio Si2 Plugin, and documentation.
