Installation box - is a mounting box for external taps and showers when external taps are to be placed in places where it is not possible to make a visible joint. When installing frost-proof outdoor taps, it is a legal requirement that the joint must be visible so that any leakage is led to the drain and is therefore visible. In many places it is possible to place the outdoor tap so that the joint is in a cabinet, for example in the utility room. Where this is not possible, e.g. on the terrace off the living room, it is a good idea to use a recessed box. The flush-mounted box is a mounting box for external taps.
