Hexagon Head Bolt DIN 933 A4-80 Installation
For a bolt connection to function correctly and withstand large static or fluctuating forces over an extended period, the bolts must be pre-tensioned, typically by tightening to a specific torque. The pre-tension should generally be at a level that ensures the total stress in the bolt does not exceed the yield strength of the bolt material. For proper installation of a hexagon head bolt, grade 8.8, a washer with a hardness of at least HV200 should be used, and tightening should be done with the torque specified in the Technical Data, Table 2.
