Direct burial in soil is allowed, as long as the relevant national rules of installations are followed. Halogen free cables are recommended when it is important to avoid thick smoke and corrosive gases, in case of fire or overheating. Collective screen gives an excellent protection against electromagnetic radiation to the cable.
