The IO-Link Master is a part of the IO-Link solution, to be used with controllers with the Ethernet/IP fieldbus protocol. The IO-Link Master has 8 Class A ports, where both IO-Link and non-IO-Link devices can be connected. The IO-Link Master has an IP67-rated housing. It also has an integrated OPC UA server that can connect to up to 2 OPC UA clients. Its two galvanically separated power supply lines can carry current up to 16A at 24V DC input. The device is designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -20 to 70°C. It comes equipped with integrated sensors that can monitor the current, voltage, and temperature of each port. The IO-Link Master device can communicate through the MQTT protocol, which can be configured both through the Web-configurator and the 'Simply Config IO-Link' Configuration software. The configurator is password-protected, and the user can create different profiles like Admin, Operator and Maintenance with different access to the configuration options. The device has a plastic body with IP65 and IP67 rating. It is designed for use in various industrial applications such as packaging, materials handling, conveying, machining, food and beverage. However, it can be connected to any IO-link sensors that require less than 3A power for functioning. The IO-Link Master complies with EMC guidelines on emission (EN IEC 61000-6-4, BS EN 61000-6-4) and immunity (EN IEC 61000-6-2, BS EN 61000-6-2). It is also CE- and UKCA-conformant. The device is compatible with both IO-Link and non-IO-Link devices. It can be integrated into the fieldbus using the Ethernet/IP protocol. The package includes the IO-Link Master, 8 labelling stickers, and 8 plugs for the unused ports on the device. The device can be powered up using the L-Coded M12 cables, and can be connected in daisy chain mode with multiple devices.
