The kickback guards should be used with a combustible gas and oxygen regulator when these are used for gas welding, cutting or heating.
SAFE-GUARD-5 has five safety functions:
→ Interrupts the gas supply in the event of a penetrating blowback
→ Stops and extinguishes penetrating recoil
→ Prevents backflow
→ Shuts off the gas supply in case of overheating (95 °C)
→ Simple and effective reset function
It has a connection angle of 30°.
The advantage of this is that the backstop sits parallel to the gas bottle when it is connected to the regulators.
The handle is colored. If backlash occurs, the handle pops out and the gas flow is stopped.
A recoil is reset by pushing the lever back to open the gas flow.
Backflow preventers should also be used for propane.
Since oxygen increases the burning rate, a backstop should also be fitted to the oxygen regulator.
