With this set consisting of the Metrel MI3152 Eurotest XC and the Elma EVSE-200, testing, verifying and documenting the installation of the charging socket and the charging socket's residual current protection has never been easier: Connect the MI3152 to the EVSE-200 with test leads, insert the EVSE-200 into the charging socket, and verify that the installation can now be done as on any other outlet. Remember that some chargers must be released via app or chip. Some charging sockets have built-in residual current protection, while others have left this up to the installer. In order to test the residual current protection correctly, it is necessary to know what type of residual current protection the charging plug is equipped with. • If the charging plug has a built-in RCD type A or B, we recommend an RCD test on the charging plug via the EVSE-200. • If the charging plug has built-in RDC-DD 6 mA DC protection, we recommend that this is tested on the charging plug via EVSE-200, while the front RCD is tested in the board. • If the charger does not have built-in residual current protection, an RCD test is carried out in the panel. Regardless of the type of residual current protection, Metrel AutoSequence is a powerful tool for proper RCD testing. After testing, the MI3152's unique memory structure and documentation software come into play. In the installation tester's built-in memory structure, measurement results are easily saved and named, for example case number or customer address. Subsequently, transfer measurements to Metrel ES Manager, and the report is printed or saved as .pdf with a single click. When using Metrel's aMESM android app, measurement results are transferred via bluetooth to the phone, and the report can be forwarded by email or conveniently saved as a .pdf. Then the documentation is under control!
