METRO THERM's solar heating tank is particularly suitable for waterborne solar heating systems in single-family houses. The solar heating tank is built as a large hot water tank with 2 built-in heating coils for heating hot water. The lower one for connection to the solar heating system, such as solar or PVT panels, and the upper one for connection to a supplementary heating source. Supplementary heating sources can be, for example, electricity, pellet, gas or oil boilers. Both heating coils have a 0.75 m2 heating surface and ¾” pipe. The size of the spirals ensures that the container is able to reduce the effect from the solar heating system and the usual boilers. The container is also equipped with an electric heater, located above the middle of the container, so that you are always guaranteed hot water above the bottom coil. The container has a built-in thermostat for the electric heating element, but is delivered without control and pump station. In the flange, the water heater is equipped with a circulation nozzle and a drain nozzle, a measurable magnesium anode and 2 pcs. immersion tube for placement of sensors. At the top, there is a 400 mm immersion pipe, for positioning the sensor for any control valve for an external boiler. The container is for installation on the floor and has IP class 23. All pipes are for installation from the ground up. Specially designed safety unit with scalding protection is included with the product.
