The Mobil Gargoyle Arctic SHC 200 series consists of fully synthetic, super high-performance lubricating oils specifically developed for use in refrigeration compressors and heat pumps. They are formulated from wax-free synthetic polyalphaolefin (PAO) base oils that provide excellent resistance to thermal degradation and oxidation. With their naturally high, shear-stable viscosity index and excellent low-temperature fluidity, they can be used under very demanding operating conditions that are difficult or impossible for many conventional mineral oils to meet.
