This motion detector is specially designed for large rooms with high ceilings. It is DALI-2 certified and can either extend the range for a DALI master detector (353-852411) or combine it with other P47 or P48 DALI-2 master detectors in the P40/M40 series. The detector can also be included as part of a DALI-2 BMS system.

The detector is designed for surface mounting. The screwless and easy accessible plug-in terminals make the detector easy to install.
Reliable detecting range tested according to IEC63180
The Niko P40 and M40 detector series have been tested according to the IEC63180 standard by a third party in a controlled environment. Automatic repeated tests ensure a reliable range.
Functions
• Detection range: Ø53 m at a mounting height of 12 meters
• Adjustable PIR sensitivity (4 levels) in 3 x 120°
• One or more PIR segments can be deactivated
• Settings and configuration can be locked with a PIN code
Easy commissioning
• Communication with the main BMS system is done via the DALI-bus
•If the detector is used at a secondary detector, it must be connected to the DALI-bus on the DALI-2 master detector. It will automatically start cummunication with this master without any further commissioning.
