Orion is the light curtain / light curtain series from ABB. The products are available in a base and an extended version. All extended versions have an integrated muting and blanking function. Orion devices are safety light grilles / curtains for applications where the protection of people against a dangerous machine, robot or other automated system is important and where there is access to a dangerous area. Orion creates a protective field with infrared rays. As soon as a bar is interrupted, a stop command is triggered and the dangerous movement is stopped. The M12 connector guarantees fast connection, and the wide range of accessories makes installation quick and easy. The integrated dimming lamp reduces the required cabling and the existing dimming function reduces complexity. The different models can optimize the cost.
