The short-circuit current limits in the S800 series increase the short circuit capacity of downstream coupling devices. A distinction must be made between SCL and SCL-SR units. The latter are self-adjusting devices. The advantage of these self-adjusting short circuit current limiters S800-SCL-SR is that a continuous flow of power to all downstream coupling devices is guaranteed, which simplifies group protection. Until now, with the S800SCL devices, a separate short circuit power limiter was used for each outlet in order to guarantee in the event of an error that all the others except the defective branch continue to work. This is no longer necessary - now you can protect an entire group of engine protection switches/high performance automatic devices with only one S800-SCL-SR. Can only be used for approved combinations.
