The new SignalTEK CT (Cable Tracer) is an ideal tester for those who only wish to test the passive network. It only tests the data transmission (Speed) and wiremap , which makes this tester faster, more simple and more userfriendly, than other testers on the marked.
By one push on the Auto test button SignalTEK CT transmits data between the 2 hand held devices and tests the speed and gives a report if there is any faults complied with IEEE 802.3a Gigabit Ethernet standard.
The auto test function is also testing cable length, cabel faults like eg. crossed pairs, open pairs, shorts and split pairs - and distance to fault (TDR function).

SignalTEK CT has following features:
• Supports unshielded/shielded cables for Cat. 5e/6/6A/7.
• Can be used together with a tonegenerator to trace cables.
• The auto test function is doing both cable test and wiremap test, and can be operated for both units.
• Easy and clear pass/fault report with detailed view on the display for every test.
• Can store up to 5000 tests in the internal memory with 8 custom boxes, and up to 50 individual jobs.
• Job information is automatically included in the test report.
• Own choise of either pdf or cvs report formats.
• Can store on a USB stick for import to PC.
