Sikasil-Gasket is a high elastic silicone sealant, which is useable at temperatures up to +260°C. Curing with moisture of the air. The content of the cartridge covers 0,3 m² in 1 mm thickness.
Can be used for:
Everywhere where you need an elastic, vibrationsproof and pressureproof gasket.

Use:
Prepartion of the adhesive surfaces:
The gasket surface must be clean and dry.
Dust and friable particles must be removed.
Use: To aid the use the cartridges should be stored in a tempered room before use. The tip of the nozzle is cut as wanted and the sealant is pressed from the cartridge by a manually or airpressure gun.
It is only applied to one of the sides.
If you need to separate the two sides again the other side is greased with a thin oil layer.
You need to gather the two sides while the surface is still sticky (wihtin 10 minutes).
The bolts around the surface is only slightly fastened and are then tightly fastened after 24 hours. The sealent should have a thickness of approx. 1 mm. Surplus sealant can be scrabed off with a knife after 10-12 hours.
Smothening:
Smoothing of the joint must take place before tackfree time. For smoothing we recommend Sika Glittemiddel N. When using other products we recommend tests to control the useability of the product.
