Varistor-type surge protection components are mounted in the sub-distribution board and protect the installation against transients of a lower value than the lightning current protection in front of 15 kA at 8/20 us pulse. The surge protection component can also be used as the only protection in areas with a lower risk of transients. If the distance between coarse and between protection is less than 15 meters (wire), inductor SP937 must be used.
