U-ring fitting kit with 4 tools

U-ring fitting tool twist the U-rings into a kidney shape. This makes the U-ring size smaller than the gland hole diameter and allows the U-ring to be fitted safely into the groove where the U-ring returns to its original shape. The U-ring fitting kit contains four different tools: The blue tool.(S), Size: 10.9 cm x 5.0 cm x 1.4 cm. For gland hole 22-30 mm, section max. 5 mm. The red tool, (M), Size: 14.3 cm x 7.3 cm x 1.9 cm. For gland hole 30-50 mm. section max. 6 mm. The yellow tool (L), Size: 15.2 cm x 8.7 cm x 2.8 cm. For gland hole 50-70 mm. section max. 10 mm. The Green tool (XL), Size: 18 cm. x 10.3 cm x 3.2 cm. For gland hole 70-165 mm. section 17.5 mm. APPLICATION: Tools for installing U-rings in grooves. INSTALLATION: 1. Place the arms of the tool into the seal. Make sure that the profile of the U-ring is correct for the application. 2. Close the arms of the tool and twist the U-ring – twist until the U-ring looks like a kidney. Be sure not to overstress the U-ring in this process. 3. Keep the U-ring twisted and insert the tool with the U-ring into the groove of the gland. 4. Turn the arms of the tool back until the U-ring releases into the groove and then pull the tool out from the gland. The U-ring will now return to its original shape. NOTE When installing – make sure the profile of the seal faces the right way for the application. Be careful not to overstress the U-ring when twisting the seal with the tool. This tool is not suitable for fragile materials.
