Ventilation alarm EP 20-300 is designed as a help to ensure correct operation of ventilation or exhaust systems. The pressure alarm is equipped with a built in pressure switch, back up and BMS relay for control of ventilation plant, local exhaust ventilation, etc. The pressure alarm is equipped with a green indicator lamp for operation, a red alarm lamp and a button to mute the sound. The audible alarm is mounted inside the box.
Normally the pressure alarm is to start at the same time as the ventilation plant which is monitored. It is therefore advantageous to connect it to the damper or the ventilator switch.
When the pressure drops below the set alarm point, the alarm will be activated. It is possible to mute the audible alarm. The audible alarm will revert to normal operation when the pressure is back to normal level. At initial connection to power the audible alarm will not be operational allowing the ventilator to start up. During the starting up phase the alarm lamp will be flashing. The audible alarm will not be operational until the pressure has reached normal level.
The power supply to the back up circuit will only be disrupted in case of power failure or faults. A power cut or a fault will activate the alarm. The back up alarm is operated by a 9V battery with a lifespan up to 15 hours in case of alarm. Without power failures the lifespan of the battery will be approx. 3 years.
The pressure alarm is equipped with connecting pieces for positive and negative pressure. The connecting piece not in use functions as reference point for the measurement. By inserting a measuring constriction in the duct, it is possible to activate an insufficient flow alarm.
For ventilation plants with variable speed, a voltage relay is available.
An external operating panel is available as an option.
