New addition from the hugely popular Otima range, Warre's Otima 10 Year Old White Port expands the collection created to redefine the role of Port wine and establish a portfolio of modern, versatile styles designed for more than just after-dinner enjoyment. Produced by Warre's, founded in 1670 and one of the Douro Valley's most historic houses, the wine is blended from carefully selected casks with an average age of 10 years. Slow oxidative ageing in French oak barrels develops structure, concentration and a complex array of aromas evolving from fresh fruit towards nuts, honey and dried fruits. The colour is a clear amber gold, while the palate gains depth and roundness without losing freshness. The inviting aroma reveals mandarin, honey and toasted almonds alongside dried fruit and subtle hints of cinnamon. A delicate maritime freshness adds lift and precision. Smooth and well-structured on the palate, with balanced sweetness and flavours of citrus, apricot and nuts leading to a long, rounded finish. The combination of maturity and freshness makes it exceptionally versatile at the table. It pairs beautifully with desserts such as tarte tatin and crème brûlée, as well as nut and fruit tarts, while also complementing mild blue cheeses and creamy white-rind cheeses.
