Zelio SSL are a series of slim Solid State Relays for applications with a fast and frequent switching.
Since the relays have no moving parts, there is no mechanical wear which gives a very long lifetime.
When selecting a Solid State Relay, it is very important to chose according to the wished output load (AC or DC) and then select the supply voltage.
Zelio SSL is available with either screw- or spring terminals and all sockets have a build-in maintaining clamp and LED.
The slim width of only 6,2 mm prevents taking up valuable space on the DIN-rail and it is possible to connect up to 20 relays together with a jumper.
SSL1A12BDPV is a complete Solid State Relay mounted in a socket with screw terminals.
The relay has 24-280 VAC output (NO) with a maximum load of 2A. (at < 40°C.)
Be aware that the output of the relay need to be de-rated if used in a higher ambient air temperature than 40°C. (look at the curve on the datasheet).
Supply voltage to the relay is 16-30 VDC.
SSL1A12BDPV is a zero voltage switching relay, which makes is suited for switching on heating elements or other loads where there is no need for an instant switching.
The reason for this is that the relay only switches when the voltage hit 0V on the sinus wave and therefor don't carry any load in the switching moment.
The relay has a minimum load of 70 mA.
As this is a semiconductor relay, it is important the short circuit protection is done according to this.
SSL1A12BDPV has a maximum energy passthrough of 285A²s for 20ms at 50 Hz.
The SSL series has UL and CSA approval for use in USA and Canada.
NOTE: This Solid State Relay can not be used for switching DC loads.
