DEVIiceguard ™ 18 (T) Readymade (20W / m @ 0 °) is a self-limiting heating cable with cold conduction, primarily used for melting ice and snow on roofs, in gutters and downpipes.
The self-limiting function of the cable means that the power of the cable increases or decreases in relation to the ambient temperature. The cable retains its functionality even when shortened.
The outer casing is very resistant to harsh environmental conditions as well as corrosion, and it also protects against mechanical stresses. The cable must not expose to higher operating temperature than 65 ° C in live mode or 85 ° C in non-live mode.
The maximum length in relation to insurance value should be taken into account, as the cable has a starting current equal to approx. 2.3 times the nominal value.
