FLUKE-BT521ANG, BATTERY ANALYZER W/ANGLED (NO TEMP) AND STRAIGHT (W/TEMP) PROBES BT520 Battery Analyzer, BTL20 Intelligent Test Leads & Extenders, BTL20ANG Intelligent Test Leads and Extenders, BTL10 Test Leads, Magnetic hang strap, Shoulder Harness, Zero Ohm Calibration Resistor, BC500 AC Charger, BTL-A Probe Adapter, TL175 Test Leads, 4x Short Probe Tip Covers, 2x Extra Probe Tips, 2x Probe Lights, 100x Adhesive Paper Battery Tags, Large Soft Case, AC Line Cord The new Fluke 500 Series Angled Measurement Probes give technicians more access than ever before to hard-to-reach battery terminals. The new angled probe tips and modified kelvin coil placement increase maneuverability and enables users to quickly and easily perform routine battery maintenance. Available with the BT520ANG and BT521ANG, or as a standalone accessory (BTL520ANG) these new probes, make Fluke 500 Series Battery Analyzers the ideal test tools for maintaining, troubleshooting and performance testing individual storage batteries and battery banks, used in critical battery back-up applications. The intuitive user interface, compact design and rugged construction, ensure optimum performance, test results and reliability. Fluke 500 Series Battery Analyzers cover a broad range of battery test functions, ranging from DC voltage and resistance tests to full condition testing, using an automated string function testing and the test probe integrated infra-red temperature measurement system. The 500 Series Battery Analyzers have been specifically designed for measurements, on stationary batteries including GEL, AGM (Absorbed Glass MAT) and float open cells. Product Elevator Pitch The Fluke BTL520ANG Angled Measurement Probes, make it easier than ever to maintain, troubleshoot and performance test, both individual storage batteries and battery banks with hard-to-reach terminals. With optimized tip angles and coil placement the BTL520ANG, gives you the maneuverability you need to avoid obstacles and get into narrow cabinet spaces —all while offering the same CAT II 1000V and CAT III 600V you’ve come to expect from Fluke Battery Analyzers. Questions You May Encounter Question: Does the new BTL20ANG give me the same accuracy as the BTL20 or BTL21? Answer: Due to the placement of the Kelvin coil the BT520ANG and BT521ANG will have a decreased accuracy at the 3mΩ and 30mΩ range while using the angled probe extensions. Question: Does the reduced accuracy at 3mΩ and 30mΩ matter? Answer: It really depends on your application. We’ve found that most customers have batteries with an internal resistance greater than the 30 mΩ range. At this range the decreased accuracy has a negligible effect on the overall report outcome. In applications where battery expected internal resistance is lower, the decrease in accuracy may create issues. For those instances, customers are encouraged to use one of the other probe options, which come standard with both the BT520ANG and BT521ANG and offer higher accuracies. Question: Can the BTL520ANG measure battery terminal temperature? Answer: No, temperature measurements are only available using the BTL21 Intelligent test probe, which comes standard with the BT521 Battery Analyzer. Question: Do I have to choose whether I want the straight or angled probes? Answer: No, the new BT520ANG and BT521ANG come with both straight and angled measurement probe extensions. In addition, each unit comes with a BTL10 basic test lead set and TL175 Test Leads, and the BT521 even comes with an i410 AC/DC current clamp.
