Solar panels' electrical specifications are given under Standard Test Conditions (STC), which is defined as a solar irradiance of 1000 W/m2. At our latitudes, STC is rarely seen, and measured current and voltage values must be corrected based on the measured solar intensity.
The Metrel A1427 PV Reference cell is mounted on the solar panel and measures the solar intensity/solar radiation at the same angle as the solar panel.
The A1427 can either be connected to the solar cell tester via cable or via the Metrel A1378 Eurotest PV Remote.
