PRACHT is the world’s first lighting technology specialist to produce recycled plastics as a full alternative to technical plastics – without compromising on quality or price.
The Katla Remade’s one-piece extruded housing is made from post-industrial waste (polycarbonate) while other plastic components are made from post-consumer materials, e.g. bottles or yoghurt containers. Katla Remade offers the same resistance to temperature and pressure as previous engineering plastics, and is available at no additional cost. Importantly, using recycled materials means there is no additional carbon footprint in the luminaire production process.

REMADE Technology is the result of this intensive cooperation between universities, plastics technology and luminaire specialists, developed and produced in-house at PRACHT in Germany.
