The Preventa XPS Universal safety modules comes with a number of technical features.
It has protection against unintended changes with the transparent cover at the front face to prevent changes of the functional settings of the selector switches.
XPSU is easy to install, it has side connection for extension unit, no need for external wiring (except XPSUAB and XPSUEP).
Preventa XPS Universal comes with a wide time setting area, time delay is selectable from 0.1 to 900 seconds for low and high inertia machines.
Compact modules, flexible mounting: 22.5 and 45 mm width, DIN-rail or direct wall mounting (IP40 housing, IP20 terminals).
Only 2 supply variants for all references: 24V AC/DC + wide range power supply 48…240V AC/DC
All models are available in 2 variants, one with removable screw terminal or with removable spring terminal.
Preventa XPS Universal combines the simplicity of application of hardwired safety modules with a diversity of messages.
With a simple point-to-point connection between the smart solid-state output of the modules and a digital input of a PLC via a simple wire,
Preventa XPS Universal safety modules can send more than 40 different messages (depending on the type)!
XPSUEP safety modules are used for extending the number of safety output contacts of the base modules.
They are available as additions to Preventa XPS base modules (Emergency stop, limit switch, two-hand control, etc.).
When XPSUAT is the base module, its confi guration is used to choose whether the XPSUEP's outputs follow XPSUAT’s immediate or time delayed outputs.
3 LEDs on the front face provide information on the monitoring circuit status.
