A tension spring with eyes can have different eye types, e.g. German eyes, English eyes, loose eyes, side eyes and plate eyes. The most used eye types for tension springs are German eyes, side eyes and English eyes. Tension springs with hooks can be manufactured with hooks in many different lengths and designs. Instead of eyes and hooks, threaded inserts can be used at the ends for highly dynamically loaded pulls. In threaded inserts, you can insert a loose eye/hook or threaded piece/bolt.
The springs are characterized by different types of eyes or hooks. Which ones you choose depends on how the spring is to be attached. In other words, you should choose eyes based on where the product is to be used and in what context. A tension spring is typically used in the production of large machines, e.g. agricultural machinery.
